Adams Custom Cabinetry & Design is owned and operated by Scott Adams, a licensed Class B Home Improvement Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The company is fully licensed and insured, providing homeowners, builders, and designers with confidence that their project is in experienced and professional hands.

Meet Scott Adams

I've always enjoyed building things.

For me, there's something deeply satisfying about solving problems, working with my hands, and leaving a space better than I found it. That passion eventually led me into residential construction, where I've spent more than two decades helping homeowners improve, restore, and transform their homes.

Over the years, my work has evolved from general home improvement into a specialized focus on custom cabinetry, built-ins, and thoughtfully designed interior spaces. I discovered that what I enjoy most isn't simply building cabinets—it's designing solutions that help make a home a more functional, pleasant, and enjoyable place in which to live.

Today, Adams Custom Cabinetry & Design reflects that focus. Working from a dedicated cabinet shop in Central Virginia, I continue investing in equipment, processes, and craftsmanship so that every project benefits from the lessons learned on the one before it.

Before Cabinetry...

Prior to pursuing a business in home improvement and cabinetry, I spent more than twenty years as an author, publisher, and executive in the book publishing industry before taking time off to raise and homeschool three terrific boys. And while building a book (or a family!) is not the same as building a home or a wall of cabinetry, the same attention to detail, design, craftsmanship, and final product remain. It is these qualities that I will bring to every project I’m asked to do.
